Rewarded Review

I have MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), which means I'm pretty much allergic to everything right down to the air and the water (well, more like the rubbish that's in them these days). I've had 20+ years of ups and downs trying to find a deodorant that simultaneously works and doesn't make me break out in a horrible painful rash. It shouldn't be that hard, right? Yikes, but it is. I learnt that I couldn't use the stock standard grocery store stuff back when I was a teen, so I started working my way through the 'alternatives'. Luckily there are a lot more of them these days, but for me almost all of them still contain allergy triggers (or just don't work). There are a lot of alternative deodorants out there that are awesome for the majority of sensitive people. But so many of them contain either way too much citrus oil or baking soda (bicarbonate of soda). For me baking soda + sweat = horrible rashy blisters that take weeks to heal. Lavanilla was the first deodorant I discovered without baking soda and with very minimal citrus oil that worked for me without a reaction. I used it for 3-4 years without any problems before I found Tom's of Maine which is not only WAY cheaper, but it works better for longer in the Australian heat! I love the natural Wild Lavender scent and it's free of all the usual nasties, but also baking soda and citrus free - which for me makes it THE BEST DEODORANT IN THE WHOLE WORLD! I honestly don't know how I lived without it... well, not true... I do know, and it was painful and stinky :p. The only bummer is that I used to be able to buy it locally here in Australia and then it just vanished from the stores. But then iHerb rode in on a shiny white horse and here I am, happily once again with my stick of life-saving Tom's of Maine Wild Lavender in my hand. I'd be stinky or in pain with you, iHerb, so thanks. PS. Not a huge fan of the new package (aesthetically) but I do like the larger size - it lasts a lot longer!
