I bought this to use on my golden retriever whose fur had matted terribly. I also purchased the De-matting comb (see separate review). I like this brand very much, but I'm not sure it helped much with my doggie. His matts were quite big, and when I sprayed this on, it turned into a soapy mess. Maybe it's not meant to be used with the de-matting comb?? Personally I got much better results with using a comb to detangle the matts (but I do love this brand normally!).
