I have a English cocker and this product works great on her. For those who may not know what this tool should and should not do, this tool is made for filing down sharp edges, burs, and lightly shaping the dog's toe nails. It is not made for removing large amounts of toe nails in one sitting. If that is what you are looking for, then buy a toe nail clipper or powered rotary grinding tool.

My dog is medium sized and hates his paws being touched. We got there in the end and it works well but I recommend use would be more suited to a smaller dog where it would be a few strokes and job done. I just use more frequently. I did my dogs after a bath and did a little at a time. The file is good quality and gentle enough and the comfort handle is good too.
