It helps me stay clear, without having to blow my nose into a paper tissue. I don't always have time (kiddos to raise), but I wish I did! Perhaps I'll transition to a ceramic Nettie pot someday, but the syringe really makes it easy. If you're thinking about trying it - go for it. And don't make your own salt, the cost is worth just buying the pre-measured packets. Easy peasy, very effective hygiene system.
